MyCarrierTMS Review: Why Shouldn’t You Signup For MyCarrier in 2024

Are you sick of shipping prices that are hard to understand and deals that are too good to be true? Do you talk on the phone with companies for hours on end, trying to keep track of your packages and handle your logistics? You are not the only one if that’s the case. When it comes to shipping, a lot of businesses have the same problems as yours.

What if there was a better way? How could you make sending easier, save money, and see your packages in real-time?

So this is where MyCarrierTMS comes in. There is a catch, though. Now, I will tell you the truth with user opinions and real-life situations. Let’s get into the MyCarrierTMS Review.

What is MyCarrierTMS?

MyCarrierTMS facilitates the connection between LTL/TL shippers and carriers for all transportation requirements. It lets you do things like check rates and availability, quote, dispatch, report, book, and track goods.

Shippers can compare shipping costs and transit times from different companies with MyCarrierTMS. The goal of the site is to save money and make shipping easier. An Arizona company called MyCarrier was started in 2017 by Michael Bookout and Chris Scheid.

This gives LTL and TL shippers an easy-to-use web tool that lets them connect directly with their carriers for all their shipping needs, such as checking rates and availability, getting quotes, sending packages, and reporting.

Core Strength: Customers can quickly compare prices and shipping timeframes when they get quotes.

MyCarrierTMS is Best For

The MyCarrierTMS software might be an excellent choice for a variety of enterprises and circumstances based on the requirements that you have in mind. In certain respects, it excels:

  • Shipping Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) and Full-Truckload (FTL): MyCarrierTMS is mostly made to handle LTL and FTL packages. It makes it easier to get quotes, compare rates and transit times across various carriers, book shipments, and keep track of their progress.
  • Small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs): The tool is easy to use and understand, so it’s perfect for SMBs that don’t have their own logistics team but still need to keep track of their shipping well.
  • Companies that want to save money: MyCarrierTMS can help you find the best rates for your shipments and automate chores, saving you a lot of money.
  • Companies that want to see and handle things better: You can get real-time updates on the progress of your shipments and make reports to look at your transportation costs and carrier performance with MyCarrierTMS.
  • Businesses that want to connect their software to other programs: It’s easy to make your data and processes more efficient with MyCarrierTMS because it works with many accounting and ERP systems.

What I Like About MyCarrierTMS

  • They reply quickly and know exactly what to do to fix the problem right away. A lot of good things have come from them, and they’ve all made this process very easy.
  • Great customer service that is easy to reach responds quickly, and helps set up carriers. You can get set up and save time with this service.
  • I like how easy it is to use and how I can keep track of performance and shipping lanes and run reports on them, and I like how all of my choices are in one place.
  • The tool is easy to use, and most customers can start using it right after the first test run. It’s easy to integrate, and you can get help with it with the click of a button.
  • Price, how easy it is to use, how well it works, and how some of its features can be customized.
  • What I like best is the calculator that helps me figure out what grade an object is in.
  • One good thing about them is that they offer pretty good protection.
  • Working directly with airlines instead of 3PL middlemen has cut down on the time it takes to quote and improved our customer service.

MyCarrierTMS Pros Summary: Ease of use, helpful features, and improved efficiency make this a positive solution for shipping needs.

What I Dislike About MyCarrierTMS

  • Not having the truckload feature until recently was annoying.
  • There is no Section 7 on the BOL, and it doesn’t show up on the BOLs for collecting packages, either.
  • I can only think of one function that would be useful: a daily email with a list of shipments that are late or likely to be late.
  • There are problems with the different insurance choices. A pop-up window sells text message protection sometimes, and the chosen carrier is used by default other times.
  • When you are first adding customer names and addresses, it can be hard to do if you have more than one place. When you know how to do something, it’s very easy to do it.
  • Some companies are having trouble with timing later in the day.
  • Sometimes it’s hard for me to log into the page. I’m not sure if it’s because the internet is slow or because they’re updating something.
  • I still need to set up the volume quote, which seemed a bit odd while setting up the LTL.
  • Some pop-ups don’t need to be there, like the one that lets you pay for insurance. There might need to be a “don’t show again” button.
  • Also, it would be helpful if you could save product names as notes.
  • Sometimes, salespeople need more than one search to understand shipping words.
  • The warnings should be more specific about the problem.
  • What I dislike most about this program is that it can’t handle billing. A lot of TMS systems can get bills through API and compare them to the original quotes. But the MyCarrierTMS team said they would add tracking of invoices right away!

MyCarrierTMS Cons Summary: Missing key features (billing, truckload) & usability quirks (insurance pop-ups, login) outweigh the potential for improvement (alerts, warnings).

Final Words: MyCarrierTMS Review

Alright, let’s wrap up this MyCarrierTMS review. Look, there’s no sugarcoating it: this platform has been getting some serious buzz, and for good reason. Simplifying LTL and FTL freight quoting, booking, and tracking is a big deal, and MyCarrierTMS does it well. Ease of use, helpful features, and efficiency improvements definitely earn it kudos.

Some important functions are missing, like billing and truckload shipping, which keep it from being a full package. Also, little usage problems like insurance pop-ups and sometimes not being able to log in can get annoying.

So, what do you think? Without a doubt, MyCarrierTMS has promise. But if it’s the right choice for your business, it will depend on what you need and how much you can handle mistakes. If getting LTL and FTL done faster is important to you and you don’t mind some bugs, the Pro plan could be a game-changer. Remember that you’re giving up convenience for things that aren’t there.

For everybody else? Take a deep breath, think about the good and bad things, and look at your choices. While MyCarrierTMS may be a strong rival, it’s not the only one in the game. Take the time to find the best site for you, and your shipping problems will disappear.
