Let’s take off the cover and tell you the truth so you can decide for yourself if Shippo is your happily ever after or just another cardboard box. Prepare yourselves because I’m about to reveal the facts of the e-commerce shipment procedure with Shippo Review.
What is Shippo?
Shippo is a company that makes shipping software. They offer cost-effective shipment prices on their e-commerce platform and provide efficient tracking, pickup planning, and label printing.
This helps stores find the best shipping choices, get discounts, and compare rates from UPS and other top carriers in real-time. It also lets you track packages whenever you want, let customers know when their packages have shipped, and handle returns easily.
Stores on Shopify, Etsy, Magento, BigCommerce, Spree, ePages, and GoDaddy can ship packages for the least amount of money this way. There are no fees to sign up or pay each month.

What I Like About Shippo
- The seamless customer support from our online marketplace enables me to purchase shipment labels immediately. Order fulfillment becomes hassle-free when you don’t need to juggle multiple tools and accomplish it in a single, seamless setting.
- Their customer care is glad to assist with any website or synchronization issues and may be reached anytime.
- One day, I came across Shippo. Honestly, I thought the hippo was cute, so I went to check them out. When I checked out other services that charge monthly fees, Shippo had the lowest prices by a long shot. They also work with the tools I use for my website, so my billing is always the same.
- I like how Shippo links directly to my website. Orders are brought into the program immediately, making it easy to use. It also sends tracking information to my customers without me having to do anything else. I think the prices are fair, and I like that there is no regular fee.
- Access to various shipping vendors is possible through an incredibly simple API. The price cuts for USPS are great.
What I Dislike About Shippo
- There shouldn’t be a Shippo on USPS labels, please. It was hard for me to connect to our UPS account at first, but once I did, it worked great.
- I wish there were some kind of “address book” where I could keep track of the addresses and names of the people I ship to most often.
- I would be happy if I could print labels on quarter sheets.
- I crave for a more simplistic method to distinguish between service types and companies when selecting a shipment service in the ecommerce marketplace. I’ve clicked “Parcel Select” for USPS a few times by mistake, which makes it take three times as long to get to the customer. It sometimes gets by me when I’m moving quickly.
- The biggest problem was that USPS “flat rates” weren’t supported, so flat envelope items had extra postage for months before they were noticed. I had no choice but to manually apply stamps, as the system offers no seamless solution for it. Then I had to switch to UPS Mail Innovations to get cheaper “Flats” rates.
- It was quite tough to work with them in order to earn credits from Shippo for duplicate labels printed during training/mistakes. Very delayed answer, and she couldn’t understand that when numerous labels are generated on the same day ($$) for the same address, but only one box is ever delivered, a mistake has been made. I got some compensation but was still owed hundreds of dollars when they said they couldn’t help.
- The integration between our ecommerce marketplace and Square/Weebly online shop appears to be less than seamless. I noticed that the tracking number for the package wasn’t being transferred to the Square order; it would just show that it was shipped with no tracking information.
- It’s been having some small problems lately, but nothing that couldn’t be fixed quickly.
- It took me time to get it to work the way I thought it should because there is no paperwork that explains this.
- When an international buyer forgot to add a phone number to their account, that was the only time the software gave me trouble. This made it hard to add the number on Shippo after the fact.
- If you mistakenly delete a shipping label from the dashboard, you can’t reverse it easily. I believe that’s the only complex part. It was tough to figure out where the return was.
- Having problems sending automated shipping notifications.
Shippo Price
The Starter Plan is free for people who sign up for Shippo’s service. The only costs are shipping and a small fee of $0.05 per label. They also have deals that change based on how much you buy. Shippers who do a lot of work and need batch and automated processes can try their $10/month plan for free for 30 days.
USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate is another service they give. This is the only USPS Priority Mail service that doesn’t charge by zone or weight. Shipping costs a flat rate that starts at about $7.40. They provide a free trial, a business plan for $10 per month, and a top-level plan, including order fulfillment options. To get a price, you will need to get in touch with Shippo.
